Friday Video #49: It's Ice Cream, Betch

"Let's get some shoes. Let's party!"

Only in America can someone get in the news for just getting some ice cream. But then again it's America's National Joke herself, Britney Spears, when she's not fighting for custody of her children, getting tested for drugs, trying to release some music, and switching lawyers and managers like someone changing his/her underwear.

Brit's new look is so very Kelly, of the YouTube sensation "Shoes." (Kelly BTW will be performing at the Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco on September 30.) So here is the classic clip of "Shoes":

UPDATE:Here is the Titus Jones mash-up of "Gimme More Shoes", which mixes Brit's "Gimme More" with Kelly's "Shoes." Enjoy!

Friday Video #48: Lazy Ass Clown

I guess this video reflects the state of my mind right now. Procrasination and depression. I'm afraid that this will turn out to be the Britney Spears of blogs.

UPDATE: I guess I need Tyra Banks to whip me into shape.

Friday Video #47: Calvin Harris

One of my favorite songs from this summer would have to be "Acceptable in the 80s" by Scottish electronic singer-songwriter Calvin Harris. It's a catchy and fun electro-pop ditty that pays tribute to that decade. His debut album I Created Disco has been out in Europe since June and will be released in North America on September 10. He also has been recording with Kylie Minogue for her upcoming album as well. Above is the video to "Acceptable in the 80s." Below is the video to his latest UK single "Merrymaking at My Place," which reminds me a bit of LCD Soundsystem's "Daft Punk Is Playing In My House." You can also see more of his videos on his YouTube page as well.
